Fire near freeway caused traffic jam

CARPINTERIA, Calif.-- A fire near the 101 freeway backed up traffic around 6 p.m. on Saturday night.

It happened beneath a bridge along the 101 northbound near Carpinteria

Montecito firefighters helped put it out near the 5700 block of Via Real.
