Firefighters knock down 3 acre fire in Santa Ynez Valley
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, Calif. - Firefighters were able to quickly knock down a small brush fire in the Santa Ynez Valley Thursday.
Santa Barbara County Fire said the fire broke out around 12:45 p.m. near Ballard Canyon in the Solvang area.
Crews arrived on scene and found a 3 acre fire burning in light grass surrounded by vineyards.
Firefighters on the ground were able to put out the fire quickly with help from a Santa Barbara County helicopter.
The fire was held to three acres.
No structures were damaged or destroyed, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
