Beekeeping class at Cal Poly creating buzz

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - A new class is getting a lot of buzz at Cal Poly.

Students from a variety of majors are taking a new beekeeping class.

Along with studying the bee hives, students will also be creating hive boxes to learn how to extract honey and make products likes beeswax, lip balm and mead.

Enrollment in the class is highly competitive. Cal Poly says there there are 48 students enrolled in the class and 98 on a waitlist.
