Police searching for suspects who severely beat man in Morro Bay

MORRO BAY, Calif. - The Morro Bay Police Department is searching for three suspects who severely beat a man and left him on the side of the road.

It happened around 1:55 a.m. Thursday in a dirt parking lot on Highway 1 south of Torro Creek Road in Morro Bay.

Police found a man on the 2400 block of Main Street suffering from multiple head and face injuries.

The man told police that he was driven to a parking lot by three people. When he got out of the vehicle, the three suspects began beating him. They then drove off and left him on the side of the road.

The victim walked to town and knocked on doors to try and get help.

He was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police then began scouring the scene where the assault took place. The popular parking area was blocked off until 10 a.m., police said.

Police are looking for the three suspects in this assault. No descriptions have been provided at this time.
