Attempted kidnap and murder suspect appears in Santa Barbara courtroom
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The woman accused of the attempted murder of a social worker and the attempted kidnapping of her son appeared in a Santa Barbara courtroom Monday morning.
55-year-old Theresa Colosi was dressed in normal street clothes for her procedural hearing. Her next court date will be January 23.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Detectives said Colosi attacked a court ordered supervisor in the parking lot of Zodo's Bowling Alley in Goleta during an early December supervised visit with her 12-year-old son.
Investigators believe Colosi, an orthopedic surgeon, was planning to take her child to Montana on a chartered flight.
Colosi was taken into custody in Montana days after the attack.
She is currently being held without bail.
