Lompoc police investigating shooting

LOMPOC, Calif. - Police are investigating a shooting in Lompoc that occurred in an alley Monday afternoon.

Lompoc Police said the shooting was reported around 3:30 p.m.

The investigation is underway on the 500 block in the alley between North L and M streets near Maple Avenue.

Lompoc police said a teenager was transported to the emergency room by a family member for a gunshot wound. The teen was later transported to the hospital by helicopter and was last known to be in a stable condition.

No information about a suspect is available at this time.
