California launches website tracking major infrastructure investments statewide Tuesday

Office of Governor of the State of California

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A total of $180 billion in infrastructure funding is expected to be invested across California over the next ten years, and on Tuesday, the state announced a new website to track all that spending.

The Build.ca.gov website pools information about federal and state efforts to accelerate investments into infrastructure statewide.

Also, Governor Newsom signed an executive order in May of last year creating the Infrastructure Strike Team to tackle barriers delaying investments and coordinate efforts across the state's government.

These combined efforts are designed to augment and take full advantage of the large-scale federal infrastructure investments made during the previous Congressional session explain the Governor's Office in a press release about the new website.

“California is building more, faster, for all – and creating thousands of good-paying jobs in the process," said Governor Newsom. "This goes far beyond roads and bridges – this is about investing in our communities and our families, giving opportunity to hard-working Californians and ensuring we deliver on our world-leading climate goals.”
