5.8 magnitude earthquake reported near Lone Pine

LONE PINE, Calif. - A 5.8 magnitude earthquake was reported near Lone Pines Wednesday morning.

The first shakes were felt around 10:40 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey's earthquake map.

Although a significant distance from our area, viewers have reported feeling mild shaking in San Luis Obispo County and the Santa Maria area.

Governor Newsom recommends all Californians download the "My Shake" earthquake early warning app. For more information, click here.
