Third grader launches coin drive for Los Angeles fire relief and the Red Cross in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Monte Vista Elementary Student Council organized a coin drive for Los Angeles fire relief and the Red Cross.

A third grade student from the elementary school came up with the idea.

Students in each class collected donated coins in envelopes.
