One person airlifted with major injuries after vehicle crash on Highway 166 near Tepusquet Road
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – One person had major injuries and was airlifted from the scene of a three-vehicle crash on Highway 166, one mile east of Pine Canyon Tuesday morning.
Two other people with minor injuries declined medical treatment detailed the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a pickup truck collided with a box truck traveling in the opposite direction and a third vehicle, a Honda Accord, was hit by debris ejected from the collision.
California Highway Patrol had shut down traffic in both directions on Highway 166 during the initial response, but has now opened one lane under traffic control shared the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash was first reported around 8:41 a.m. Tuesday noted the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
