Napa man arrested for stalking, DUI, and shooting a gun Tuesday morning in Paso Robles
PASO ROBLES, Calif. – A 41-year-old man was taken into custody after shots were fired Tuesday morning in the 500 block of 5th Street.
On Oct. 29, around 8:33 a.m., officers were dispatched for a call of gunshots in the 500 block of 5th Street stated a press release about the incident Wednesday.
Before the arrival of officers, a caller reported that a man had fled the area in a black SUV detailed the Paso Robles Police Department in a press release Wednesday.
Officers discovered several 9mm shell casings at a house in the 500 block of 5th Street detailed the Paso Robles Police Department.
According to Paso Robles Police, officers found a black SUV a block away from the searched home and found an intoxicated 41-year-old man hiding in the back seat of the vehicle with an unserialized handgun
After an investigation, officers learned that a woman had come to Paso Robles to escape from the 41-year-old Napa man who had tracked the woman to the short-term rental home on 5th Street explained the Paso Robles Police Department.
The woman had already left the area before the man had arrived and around 8:30 a.m. he was outside of the rental home demanding to be let in while under the influence stated the Paso Robles Police Department.
According to Paso Robles Police, the man fire at least six rounds while outside of the home before leaving the area.
No injuries have been reported in connection with this incident shared the Paso Robles Police Department.
The 41-year-old was arrested and booked on the following charges:
- PC 646.9(a)-Stalking
- H&S 11550(e)-Possession of a Firearm while Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
- PC 246.3(a)-Negligent Discharge of a Firearm
- VC 23152(g)-DUI
The Napa man remains in custody with bail set at $1,000,000 shared the Paso Robles Police Department.
