SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - San Luis Obispo police are looking for the person responsible for slashing tires on more than a dozen cars near downtown San Luis Obispo.

Officers were called to the 900 block of Johnson Avenue around 8:15 Saturday morning for reports that multiple cars had their tires punctured. Officers were also told a newly planted tree had been broken off in the area.

Officers arrived at the scene and found 16 vehicles with punctured tires. One motorcycle had also been pushed over, and a tree was damaged.

Officers searched the block, as well as nearby Palm, Pepper, and Mill Streets, but they didn't find any evidence or surveillance video to help in the investigation.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crime to contact Officer Marissa Womack at 805-594-8038 and reference SLOPD case #200215015.
