Tributes pour in for fallen Oxnard police officer
OXNARD, Calif. - Law enforcement agencies are showing support for the Oxnard Police Department after an off-duty police officer was killed in a crash Wednesday.
Nathan Martin, 45, was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a tractor trailer just a mile from the police station.
He was Hueneme High School's resource officer and a 20-year veteran of the police department.
Grief counselors were on campus Thursday to help students.
Law enforcement groups from across California took to social media after the crash to honor the fallen officer.
