Two people hospitalized with major injuries following motorcycle crash

Major injuries were reported following a crash involving two motorcyclists and one car.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said it happened shortly after 7 a.m., Saturday on the 7300 block of Highway 166 near Cottonwood Canyon Road.

Santa Barbara Fire and Calstar responded to the accident close to 12 miles west of New Cuyama.

Officials took two people to the hospital.

One was taken by ground, and the other was flown.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
