Caltrans to clear homeless encampments along Hwy 101 in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Crews will be clearing out homeless encampments along Highway 101 in Santa Barbara this week.
Some ramp and lane closures are scheduled this week because the Caltrans Santa Barbara Maintenance team will be working near the highway.
The right lane and the on-ramp of northbound Highway 101 at Castillo Street will be closed Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Caltrans says the closure is necessary to remove homeless encampments in the area.
