Residents urged to be diligent after three burglaries reported in Santa Ynez

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after three homes were burglarized this week in Santa Ynez.

On Tuesday, a home on the 3600 block of Olive Street was burglarized. Just a few blocks over, a home on the 1300 block of Refugio Road was also discovered to have been burglarized. Both homeowners reported similar items were taken the methods seems to be the same. Both homes were accessed through an unlocked rear door.

On Thursday, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office received word of another residential burglary, this one happening at a home on the 1100 block of Tyndall Street. The method of entry and the items stolen were similar to the Tuesday burglaries.

Deputies say there is no suspect or vehicle information in these crimes. Investigators are working to find the person or people responsible for these burglaries.
