Laguna Blanca lake a gauge of the recent rains, and it’s still dry

One gauge of the recent rain is the dry Laguna Blanca lake in Hope Ranch.

You would think with the rains we’ve had, there would be a noticeable pool of water there.

But NewsChannel 3 drove by only to find it a little muddy and mostly empty.

The lake off Las Palmas drive might look different in a week when the atmospheric river of rain passes through.

For now, it is a reminder of the on-going drought.
