Early Morning Fire Starts In Chimney

Santa Barbara County Fire crews responded to early morning house fire at 5810 West Camino Cielo Road.

When fire crews arrived just after 5:00 am they found the chimney on fire with flames spreading to the roof of the home.

17 firefighters were able to contain the spread of the fire and everyone was able to escape the two-story home safely.

Crews spent about 90 minutes mopping up after the fire. Investigators are now trying to determine the cause.
