Arch Rock Fish No Longer Afloat as Restaurant Closes

The Arch Rock Fish restaurant in Santa Barbara has closed abruptly. It was located on Anacapa Street downtown.

A sigh explaining the ownership circumstances is on the front door. Some tables and chairs remain inside.

16 months ago the Bennett Family, owners of Brophy Brothers,Farmer Boy, Benchmark, On the Alley and the Cliff Room took over Arch Rock. The goal was to revive a struggling restaurant but the plan has ended. It’s unclear if another concept will be opened there or of the business will change hands.

The Bennett’s have had success in other areas as they are growing their restaurant holdings. On the Alley recently opened a second location in the Camino Real Marketplace.

Arch Rock is just a few blocks away from the Sojourner restaurant which closed recently after many years of operation in the Presidio Neighborhood.
