Armed Robbers Rip Off Ventura Hardware Store

Police are searching for three suspects who robbed a tool supply store in Ventura.

The robbery happened around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday on the 1400 block of South Victoria Avenue.

Authorities say one of the three robbers took out a gun and demanded money from the clerk. When the clerk was slow to respond, the man pistol-whipped him and forced his way behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say they forced the remaining employees into a storage room before fleeing on foot. They were last seen running north in the alley behind the business.

Police responded, but were unable to find the culprits. The clerk sustained a minor head injury and was treated at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Ventura police department.
