CIF state track and field finals
Dos Pueblos junior Stamatia Scarvelis took first in the shot put with a throw of 50 feet 7.75 inches, to record her second CIF state title in two years.Simi Valley senior Sarah Baxter took top honors for the third consecutive year in the 3200 meter. Baxter finished with a time of 10:10:71.
Luigi Colella of Thousand Oaks took first in the pole vault. Holly Tokar, of Ventura, took fifth in the pole vault. While Arroyo Grande’s Madison Jacobs placed fourth in the discus and Lompoc’s Nikko Hayes took home fifth in the 300 meter hurdles.
