Police asking public’s help to identify bank robber

A bank robber is at large after robbing the Pacific Western Bank at 7035 El Camino Real.

The Atascadero Police Department was in pursuit of the perpetrator after she robbed the bank at 4:09 p.m. on Thursday.

Police arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call from a bank employee. Officers established a perimeter around the bank and found that no employee was injured in the robbery.

APD units worked with deputies from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office in searching the surrounding area for the subject.

Officers said stole an unknown amount of cash and is described as a white adult.
