UPDATE — 41-year-old David Toohey, who was found dead near Micheltorena and San Pascual streets, is from Santa Barbara and police told KEY News there is no indication of foul play.The coroner will try to determine the cause of death and the Santa Barbara Police Department will look though New Year’s Eve calls to see if they had contact with him earlier in the day. “Just as a precaution we are reviewing our calls for service to see if there might be any change that this person was involved in any other incident that we might we aware of,” said Sgt. Riley Harwood, SBPD. EARLIER STORY — The body of a male in his 40s has been found in the 1500 block of San Pasqual in Santa Barbara.Santa Barbara Police officials say the body was discovered around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, and may have been in the area four to five hours before it was found.Several witnesses gave statements to police. Many mentioning that they saw a man laying or rolling on the hillside next to the apartment complex.”There was an ambulance and someone said they saw someone roll down the hill and that he just stayed there,” Diana Valencuela told KEY News.Detectives spent several hours at the scene trying to determine the victim’s cause of death.”The cause of death is unknown and the coroners office has been called and is now investigating,” SBPD Sgt. Mike Brown said.
