Calendar date makes it popular day for specific weddings

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Wedding planners have had Thursday on their calendars for months and it's turning out to be a busy one.

February 20, 2020 or 02-20-2020 is apparently so significant to some couples, they chose it as their official wedding day.

At the Santa Barbara County Courthouse, 24 weddings were scheduled on the grass lawn.

One particular site on the north part of the grass lawn is designated for weddings conducted by members of the clerk's office.

By midday, there were several couples and their families or friends either at a wedding or getting set to move into the spot.
