Fireworks back on Central Coast for Fourth of July

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Fireworks will be filling the sky on the Central Coast this year after the coronavirus forced cancellations last year.

From waterfront settings to local parks, the Central Coast is set to have fireworks shows on the Fourth of July.

In Lompoc, a fireworks show will be held at Ryon Memorial Park. It's a new site for the city because its usual spot, Lompoc High School, is unavailable.

Pismo Beach is busy enough but is expecting to have large numbers of people gathering at the beach for its fireworks show, especially for people that have been anticipating the show since last Fourth of July.

Stearns Wharf will be the destination for fireworks in Santa Barbara. People will be swarming the sand and grabbing a blanket to enjoy the waterfront show. In a break from tradition, there will be no live music or food vendors at the beach this year.

Unfortunately, Solvang canceled its show for a second straight year, but a Fourth of July parade is back on, after being canceled in 2021.
