SLO County man expresses gratitude as foster dad, ahead of Father’s Day

LOS OSOS, Calif.– Ahead of Father’s Day, a San Luis Obispo County man talks about his experience as a foster dad.

These last few years, Garrett Schooley has been a foster dad to several local children.

He said he and his wife heard of this once in a lifetime opportunity through their church, and took the chance to make it happen.

Ever since their lives have changed, and for those children.

“The opportunity to provide a place for these kids has really meant a lot,” said Schooley. “It’s been a blessing really.”

Garrett Schooley encourages others to look into being a foster parent, as there is currently a shortage.
