OXNARD, Calif. - The all-volunteer group Feeding the Frontline: Feeding our Farmworkers held another successful event in Oxnard on Saturday.

Farmworkers picked up boxes full of donated food at Our Lady of Guadalupe church in Oxnard's La Colonia neighborhood.

Clinicas donated 1,000 pounds of beans, 1,000 pounds of rice, and 500 gallons of milk.

The Port of Hueneme donated celery.

Temple Beth Torah donated 500 pounds of food.

The Round Earth donated personal protective equipment, also known as PPE.

Farmworker families drove through the parking lot where volunteers placed bags of food in their trunks or back seats.

They have held more than 30 events since the pandemic began.

Farmworkers were also entertained by Mariachi music and Folklorico dancers.

Every dollar donated goes to farmworker families in need.
