Look for the Helpers: No Kid Hungry offers meals through summer

As our area is faced with ongoing changes due to a growing pandemic, we are bringing stories of people doing good in the community during a time of uncertainty.

Help us look for the helpers!

No Kid Hungry

Low-income and food insecure children in Santa Barbara County won't have to worry about lunch this summer.

No Kid Hungry is supporting a coalition of organizations, including the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County and local school districts to feed any child under 18 with a "Grab-and-Go" healthy meal at 50 locations.

Actor and Santa Barbara resident Jeff Bridges is the national spokesperson for No Kid Hungry. He said, "This summer, even as we stay apart, we will be coming together to make sure the kids of Santa Barbara get the meals they need to thrive."

To find a location near you, text FOOD to 877-877.

No paperwork or registration is required. Masks, social distancing and safety measures are in place.
