SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Community members are gathering Sunday afternoon for an Act Now for Justice rally which began at 1 p.m. in Mitchell Park, San Luis Obispo.

This rally is organized by R.A.C.E. Matters in San Luis Obispo County and is in response to the death of George Floyd on Monday.

Organizers encouraged participants to bring masks and signs. A few hundred people appear to be in attendance.

The majority of attendees brought signs and marched to the park chanting, "I can't breath."

Also at 1 p.m., a Black Lives Matter protest took place in Santa Barbara at the County Courthouse and in Santa Maria at City Hall.

These protests join many others across the country occurring everyday since Floyd's death.
