Founder of free health clinic in Lompoc reflects on one year since it opened

LOMPOC, Calif. – It has been a year since a free medical clinic opened in Lompoc. The founder says it has grown rapidly and expanded its services.

Savie Health has been busy treating uninsured people.

Services are available not only to Lompoc residents but people from all over the state.

Medical workers volunteer their time to treat many people Wednesday through Saturday.

The demand is high, so doctors ask to make an appointment beforehand to be seen on time.

“When you are somebody haven't seen a physician for 10 to 15 years or five years due to not having access to a provider or financially or not able to do so,” said Founder Dr. Ahmad Nooristani. “And you are suffering from different element, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. so this is a great place for them to come in and being taken care of.”

The hope is to continue to grow, and donations from the community are welcomed.
