Santa Barbara County hosts eighth annual summer meal concert series

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - This summer, Santa Barbara County's local schools, cities and nonprofit organizations are helping to keep kids fed over the summer months.

It's part of the eighth annual Summer Meal Concert Series, sponsored by No Kid Hungry.

The series provides free meals to all children ages 18 and under.

There are nearly 50 different locations that kids can "grab-and-go" their meals.

Starting next week and into the summer, the series is more than just a spot for picking up food. It will also be an area of entertainment, which will include DJs and youth musicians at a number of different sites.

Local radio stations will broadcast live from numerous locations as well to help spread the message around the county.
