Camping in Los Padres National Forest suspended due to COVID-19
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - The United States Department of Agriculture has issued a regional order prohibiting overnight camping in the Los Padres National Forest.
The order went into effect Tuesday and will remain in place until January 6.
The purpose of the closure is to protect visitors and Forest Service employees by reducing possible exposure to anyone who may have COVID-19.
Hiking trails and vehicle trails will remain open as well as dispersed camping.
Anyone with reservations should contact Parks Management Company or visit Recreation.gov to reschedule your visit or request a refund.
