Santa Barbara clothing boutique expands during move to Funk Zone

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Dylan Star Boutique is a clothing store geared towards women's fashion and accessories. Or at least it was while open on Upper State Street.

The clothing boutique closed it 1719 State Street location for a spot in the Funk Zone at 110 Anacapa Street. They're next door to Hazard's Bicyclist Shop.

In the new space co-owner, Erica Brown, said Dylan Star Boutique will offer a new men's selection along with what they sold at their old location. And while the move happened during the pandemic, the decision began just before.

“We hustled hard," said Brown. "We did gift baskets, we brought things to people’s doors, Dylan delivered, we had people come and pick up things. And we actually did OK during that time. So when things started to pick up a little bit more and people were opening we decided we still really wanted this space.”

Brown added they plan to do a soft opening on Wednesday September 16.
