Fish and Wildlife investigation possible mountain lion sighting near Santa Barbara Zoo

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - California Fish and Wildlife is investigating a report of a mountain lion sighting near Santa Barbara Zoo.

Fish and Wildlife officials said they began investigating after a sighting was reported on a community news app.

Biologists from the state are in the process of searching the area for evidence of the mountain lion.

Fish and Wildlife agents will place traps in the area where the mountain lion was reported. The mountain lion would likely be relocated upon capture.
