ORCUTT, Calif. -- An Orcutt man captured a video of a bobcat chasing a small animal in an Orcutt neighborhood on Tuesday morning.

Orcutt resident Frank Morin and his wife Monica were on an evening bike ride out in Orcutt Hills when they noticed a bobcat chasing after what appeared to be a kitten or rabbit.

Morin got off his bike and started filming the bobcat going after its prey.

Morin zooms into a bobcat walking across the grassy knolls by fencing in Orcutt Ranch. The medium-sized animal was creeping around trying to find its prey.

Bobcats are known animals to frequent trails like Orcutt Hill Trails in the Santa Maria Valley.

Bobcats are mostly active during twilight hours.
