SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – The Trump administration has yet to slow down on its mass deportation tactics, and reports say Immigration and and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests have hit a record high amount, including several right here on the Central Coast.

Undocumented residents across the Central Coast have faced a surge of ICE arrests in the past couple of months, and especially in the past two days.

On Monday, a student at Allan Hancock College named Mayrin reported that her father was detained by ICE agents inside one of the campus parking lot.

"[M]y dad was kidnapped by ICE today," said Mayrin during Monday's press conference at Allan Hancock College. "[W]hen ICE started showing up more frequently throughout the 805, I promised my dad that I would protect him. I couldn't."

According to 805 UnDocuFund, at least 34 people were taken by ICE agents between Monday and Tuesday. The non-profit distributed these numbers as 18 arrests on Monday and 16 people on Tuesday, – recorded from Santa Maria, Buellton, Guadalupe, and the Lompoc Federal Prison.

Back in August, multiple agents in ICE insignias and unmarked vehicles were spotted outside the Santa Barbara County Jail before arresting a Nicaraguan man.
