New COVID-19 testing site opens at Anderson Recreation Center in Lompoc
LOMPOC, Calif. - The County of Santa Barbara announced that a COVID-19 testing site has opened at the Anderson Recreation Center in Lompoc.
This is one of multiple testing sites opening in both north and south county as part of the county's plan to expand COVID-19 testing. Increased testing is part of the county and state's plan to move toward reopening amid the pandemic.

At this time, testing can be done by appointment only. Santa Barbara County community members can request an appointment online or by calling 1-(888)-634-1123.
The site will be open for testing from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Tuesday. However, these times and days may change depending on the community's needs.
The County said that OptumServe currently has the capacity to give 132 tests per day at this site.
There are also currently four OptumServe staff onsite:
- Event Oversight Administrator
- Clinical Staff Member
- Non-clinical staff member (Admin)
- Security Person
Testing will charge no out-of-pocket expense to patients, however, the insurers of those who have coverage will be billed.
