Crews put out 703-acre vegetation fire in Santa Margarita, fire under investigation
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - Crews had a 703-acre vegetation fire in Santa Margarita that started Tuesday evening 100% contained at 7:19 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Two side-by-side vegetation fires in the Carrizo Plain of Santa Margarita broke out at 5:36 p.m. Tuesday, one fire was 25 acres, the other was about 10-15 acres according to Cal Fire San Luis Obispo.
More than 20 units responded to the scene – including a Bitter Air Attack, according to Cal Fire SLO.
Cal Fire SLO first reported the fires near the 9700 block of Bitterwater Rd.
