Santa Barbara’s Organic Soup Kitchen opens new location and receives Congressional Award of Honor

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Congressmember Salud Carbajal has secured a Congressional Award of Honor for Organic Soup Kitchen.

The award was presented at the official grand opening of Organic Soup Kitchen's new Distribution and Education Center at 126 Haley St.

“We are honored to receive this award,” says Andrea Slaby, Chief Operating Officer of Organic Soup Kitchen. “Opening a second location has always been our vision, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our service and reach in the community.”

The local non-profit has already served one million bowls of nutrient-dense SoupMeals since 2009.
