For your weekend events, wear layers and bring a rain jacket!

Temperatures will not change too much for the first Friday and Saturday of February. Friday is staying somewhat mild, but there's a slight chance of sprinkles in the very northwest corner of San Luis Obispo County, and some extra cloud cover everywhere. Saturday will be the mildest with near average highs. Cloud cover will stick on the Central Coast, but skies may clear slightly for the South Coast.

A second system will bring a slight chance of rain showers from the north to the south, from Saturday night to Sunday morning. Highs will cool a tad Sunday and gusty northerly winds will set up at night.

To kick off Black History Month, there are several events around Santa Barbara over the weekend, presented by NAACP Santa Maria-Lompoc and Santa Barbara Black Culture House. Events include gatherings, conversations, and documentary screenings. For all of these, you'll want to wear layers and consider bringing a umbrella. You can find a full list on this community calendar.

For music fans in San Luis Obispo, head to SLO Symphony's third concert of the season, Cellos On Fire. The concert starts at 7:30 sharp Saturday at the Performing Arts Center. If you're getting a quick bite before hand, temperatures will be around 59 degrees at 5:00 pm, they will be in the mid-50s by the concert start time, and about 54 degrees by 9:00. The performance features cellist Amit Peled, and will highlight cello-centered works. With rain starting up on the Central Coast Saturday evening, you'll definitely want to bring a good rain jacket and plan your dinner reservation for inside.
