Atascadero man charged with felony sex crimes

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – Nathan Daniel Abate, 34, of Atascadero has been charged with felony sex crimes involving two victims between the years of 2008 and 2010, according to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office.

DA Dan Dow announced Abate was arrested and charged with the following felonies: oral sex of a person under the age of 18, and rape of an intoxicated victim.

Dow said they anticipate that Abate will be arraigned on the charges in the SLO County Superior Court on Friday, Jan. 20.

Abate is currently in the San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail of $500,000.
