NEW YORK, NY. - Santa Barbara pro tennis player Kayla Day lost in three sets to Georgina Garcia Perez of Spain 4-6, 6-1, 4-6 in the second round of the US Open Qualifying Tournament.

Tied at 2-2 in the third set, the 22-year old Day lost her service game top go down 3-2 and her opponent never trailed again.
