SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Police searched Pioneer Valley High School Friday morning to investigate a report of a gun on campus.

Santa Maria police say officers responded after they received an anonymous report about a gun in one of the bathrooms.

Police combed the campus looking for the weapon, giving the all-clear around 10:20 a.m.

School officials said a formal lockdown was never put in place as students were already taking their final exams.

Police will continue to investigate the incident, but say there was never a threat to any students or faculty.
