Morning Traffic Slowed by Accidents on Highway 101
Morning rush hour commuters were challenged in southern Santa Barbara County on Thursday after two incidents affected traffic on both sides of Highway 101.
The first incident at Turnpike Road involved two vehicles, creating significant delays as drivers took to surface streets in the neighborhoods between Santa Barbara and Goleta.
CHP reported minor injuries as a result of that accident.
Officers were called again to Highway 101 after an accident involving a cyclist near La Conchita. That incident created backups on the northbound side of the freeway. Minor injuries were also reported in that accident.
