Cabrillo High School Aquarium hosts virtual tours for elementary students
VANDENBERG VILLAGE, Calif. - The Cabrillo High School Aquarium is currently hosting virtual tours for elementary school students from around the world.
During each tour, several student tour guides will join a Zoom session with a "visiting" elementary class where they will narrate a walkthrough of the aquarium. A live Q&A session will be held at the end of the tour.
The aquarium said tour curriculum has been tailored for each grade level and will teach students about the delicate balance between animals and their habitats.
In addition to the tours, visiting teachers will be given special pre and post-tour activities designed by aquarium students to be completed with their class.
The aquarium said the initial response from local elementary teachers was very enthusiastic, many were excited for new opportunities to enrich their student's virtual learning.
