Santa Maria YMCA hosts drive by graduation parade for preschoolers

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- The Santa Maria Valley YMCA hosted a drive-by parade for their preschoolers on Thursday.

The parade began Thursday evening at 34000 Skyway Dr. in Santa Maria.

Parents and preschool graduates were able to drive by for their diploma.

YMCA staff and teachers held posters up cheering on their graduates during the parade.

The Y held this event to honor their little graduates for their accomplishments as they move on to kindergarten.

Their facility and preschool has been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Y say their preschool is more than just childcare. They say their professional and caring teachers work hard to create a nurturing learning environment where all participants can thrive.

The preschool is NAEYC accredited and an Outdoor Classroom Demonstration Site.
