Deputies notice fewer people on Hollywood Beach on Saturday

OXNARD, Calif. - Ventura County Sheriff's deputies patrolled Hollywood Beach near Oxnard again on Saturday.

Officers drove up and down the beach in off-road vehicles that looked like Jeeps.

They are making sure visitors practice physical distancing.

There were not as many people on the beach on Saturday afternoon compared to last weekend.

Oxnard police posted videos to social media explaining the soft opening rules that frown upon just hanging out.

They would rather see people moving.
