15 barrels of crude oil and produced water spill from pipeline in Cuyama Valley

NEW CUYAMA, Calif. - A small leak in a pipeline led to 15 barrels of crude oil and produced water spilling in Cuyama Valley.

It happened on the 4900 block of Perkins Road south of New Cuyama.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the area and were able to bring the leak under control. Mitigation efforts are currently underway.

SBC Oil and Gas crews will remain on scene during cleanup.

In total, three barrels of crude oil were spilled according to officials.
