Silk ties color Easter eggs

Old silk ties can easily be used to color Easter eggs

OXNARD, Calif. (KEYT) Old silk ties can easily be used to dye Easter eggs.

Just cut silk ties in squares the use rubber bands to wrap them around raw eggs.

They can also be wrapped a second time in plane cloth.

Boil the wrapped eggs in water and few tablespoons on vinegar.

It takes at least 20 minutes.

The wrapped eggs will look they have been printed with the silk design.

Martha Stewart shared the idea on her show more than a decade ago.

It appears to be making a comeback this year.
