Evacuation Warning issued for 25-acre vegetation fire west of San Luis Obispo Friday

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews are responding to a 25-acre vegetation fire along Black Walnut Road that is threatening multiple nearby structures Friday and an evacuation warning has been issued for the nearby area.

The San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services issued an evacuation warning that includes the area one mile north and a half mile south of the intersection of Black Walnut Road and Happy Trails Road near See Canyon. Residents in the warning zone are asked to prepare to leave immediately.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, five structures in the immediate area are currently threatened for a fire that was already about ten acres when the first engine arrived to the scene.
